Radmo Classic Mobile Phone Holder

This is another review item that I had received for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

When it arrived, it was in a few separate pieces.  Basically you assemble it, by putting the adjustable sliding arms on it, which will be what holds your phone into place, and then adding the screws to the bottom.  To slide the arms to make it wider or smaller, you just loosen the screws and adjust it, then tighten them back up.

There are directions on how to adjust the tension supports, if your phone doesn't fit, but my phone fit perfectly so I didn't have to mess with any of that.  There are also instructions on what to do if the device doesn't fit into your CD player.

Once it's assembled, you just slide it into the CD player.  VIOLA!

This device works great if you use your GPS a lot, or maybe even stream music from your  phone or ipod while you drive.  You just set it up in the holder and go about your merry little way.  It's a pretty handy device.  Honestly, you can still even play CD's while it is in the CD player.  It doesn't affect the CD playing capabilities.

Nerf Rivals & Why we Love them

A little background about me:  I was in the Army.  I LOVED my M-16.  I was good with my M-16.  However, I broke my foot in three spots and that ultimately led to my discharge from the Army.  No more M-16 for me.  Hell, not even a simple hand gun, until about a year ago.

That's okay though.  I got to go home and be with my family and start an different chapter in my life.  I don't really claim the "VET" status.  I feel there are others who have done more and even gave the ultimate sacrifice.  They're the ones who deserve that title.  Not me.

I guess over the years, my son has realized that Mommy was in the Army.  I still wear my shirts and sweat pants around the house. I think he probably asked why I had Army clothes and I told him I was in the army.... and from there it was a crazy whirlwind.

My son LOVES everything Military.  He's talked about the Army his entire life, like it's something he knew all about.  Hell, he even told me once that he was in the Army in his past life.  It could be true.  I've always known that my one life purpose was to take care of a Soldier.  I always thought it would be a future husband or boyfriend... but as it turns out, maybe it's my own little man.  He's the soldier I'm supposed to care after.  I'm okay with this.  It's a very brave and noble thing, if that's what he chooses to do, or has already done in a past life.

SO all this brings me back to me the Nerf Rivals.  I want my son to grow up and not be afraid of guns.  He needs to know their purpose.  He needs to know how to handle them properly.  He needs to know they are DANGEROUS.  I have no issues buying him Nerf guns.  I'll even have Nerf wars with him.  He knows that in real life, you NEVER point a gun at anyone unless you intend on doing extreme harm to them.  He also knows that even with toy guys, you don't point them at people.. unless it's a Nerf gun.  And even then, you only aim from the neck down.

I was doing something with Monster, and saw an ad for the Nerf Rivals, and apparently Monster saw them too.  He was like "Mom, look at these! We need some."  And I thought "Yes, we do!".  Of course it was around Christmas time though, so they were hard to find.

Luckily (wink, wink. Nudge, nudge) Santa brought us a set.  He got the blue gun and blue mask; I got the red gun and mask, and we each got some ball (bullet) refills.   We stopped opening presents and HAD to have a Nerf Rival war, right then and there.  It was just us Christmas morning, so we could do that.

He asks "Momma, Can I shoot you so we know what it feels like?"

My response: (in my head: HELLLL NO!... ) "Yes, but I have to shoot you back so you know what to expect as well.  But you can only shoot my butt and I'll shoot you in the butt as well."

So I turn around... and He's cracking up.  Hysterically "Oh my gosh, I'm about to shoot my mom in her Butt!! Tee Hee Hee" (Yes, he actually says Tee Hee Hee).... Ready, Aim... POP-WHACK!

WTF.  Those things hit you almost as soon as they shoot.  I was NOT expecting it... at all.  It doesn't hurt.  I mean... It does a bit.  He has terrible aim so he hit my in my lower back.  It just caught me off guard that it was an actual almost instantaneous whack.  I start laughing.  I tell him it wasn't that bad. .... But Turn around, boy.  My turn to shoot you in the butt!

So he does.  We are both cracking up at this point.  Ready, Aim... POP-WHACK!  "MOMMMMMM!  That didn't hurt but that was so fast!"  Yep. Let's do this.

Rules:  You get this room, I get the kitchen.  You have 2 minutes to load your weapon, get your extra bullets ready and get your mask on.  I'm coming in Rival blazing!

Safety first, kids.  Always wear your safety masks.  (Especially when you're playing with a kid who doesn't have good aim).

You get the gist....  My kid is good.  Momma has taught him well.  We just need to work on his aim.  He hid behind a rocking chair, where I couldn't see him, and I was Army crawling around the corner to sneak up on him and he straight up sniper shot my side then started giggling and I immediately found him and shot back.

Our little game went on for about 45 minutes until we decided it was time to unwrap the next presents and put everything away before the family showed up for the BIG gift exchange.

We absolutely love our Nerf Rivals.  They're a lot of fun, and I can't wait until it's nice outside so we can play outside.

Bzz Agent Mission: Pace/Prego Ready Meals

I will start off by saying that I'm not typically a huge fan of prepackaged meals.  I never eat them.  If I do eat them... I don't necessarily LIKE them.  I came home from my part time job today and low and behold, my meals have arrived!

I couldn't remember which meals I picked, when I signed up for the mission, so it was like Christmas, all over again!   What do I have??  Sample Kit 3: Three Cheese Alfredo Rotini, Marinara & Italian Sausage, and Cheesy Chicken Quesadilla

Since I had been at work all day, and skipped lunch, I was starving.  So naturally, I have to rip open a meal.  I chose.... Drum Roll PLEASE!!

The Cheesy Chicken Tortilla.  I looked at the back, 290 calories.  That's it? 290 calories? For 1 serving? And 1 serving is the ENTIRE PACKAGE!  So I can eat the ENTIRE package and it's only 290 calories?  Wow, this is great news. Another great thing about these meals are that there aren't any additives.  They're all natural ingredients.

Okay, so here's the test.  1 minute in the microwave. #HeatTearEat.  Well, 1 minute in the microwave and the middle was still a cold mass.  I tried to mash it up a bit, still sealed and threw it back in the microwave another 30 seconds... Nope.  Still cold.  I rip open the bag, give it a good stir AGAIN and throw it back in for another 30 seconds.  Meh. Still cold.  Whatever.  I'm starving.

Overall, it tastes okay.  It would work as a work meal.  There are plenty of flavors and you wouldn't get bored easily with them.  However, I ended up throwing this in a tortilla shell and added more cheese.  It was way tastier that way.  These might be  nice to use as a starter and then top with your own favorites.  Like add chicken to the pasta, or add sour cream and make this a burrito.

I've yet to see these in the store... because I try to avoid the store at all costs.  I did get some coupons though.  I'll look and see how much the cost and probably grab a few to start taking to work.  Pretty glad I got the chance to try these.  I'll probably start microwaving them for 1.5 minutes from the word go though.

Random Mail call

My USPS, UPS, and Fed Ex guys probably HATE me.  Every day they're dropping off 2-3 boxes of random stuff.

I've been getting offers out the wazoo lately.

BzzAgent just approved me for some Pace/Ragu frozen prepared meals.

Crowdtap has approved me for:

I also received a Target beauty box with goodies in it.  Luckily, I don't really have to review these, which is good, many of the items are heading to the adult Easter Egg hunt totes.  JOY!!

Endangered Species Condoms

Okay, Someone randomly posted a link on Facebook, saying "sign up to distribute Endangered Species Condoms."

If anyone knows me by now, they know.... ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT!!!

SO I sort of only half jokingly wrote them and told them I'd like to distribute their condoms at my adult Easter Egg hunt; I also stated that I make care packages for my cousin in college and a few other girls, and I'd send them condoms as well.

I hadn't heard anything back from them and then one day, right before Christmas, I end up with a random package full of condoms, on my door step.

This company is legit. Their mission is legit.  Basically, their mission is to spread awareness that with over population, we're encroaching up animal territories and endangering different species of animals.  Their website has a lot of information.  Here's a link to the website if you want to learn some more between the correlation between endangered species and condoms.  Endangered Species Condoms Website

Their boxes have cute little sayings on them:

1. "When you're feeling tender.... think about the hellbender."
2. "Before it gets any hotter... remember the sea otter."
3. "Fumbling in the dark?... Think of the monarch."
4. "wrap with care.... think of the polar bear."
5. "for the sake of the horned lizard... slow down love wizard."
6. "can't refrain? remember the whooping crane."

If you're interested in assisting with the mission, you can fill out an application and request to assist them.  Here's the link:  request to hand out condoms

Buddha Loofahs

These are nice quality, BIG Loofah bath sponges. The colors are very pleasant and nice to look at. I'm typically not a huge fan of these types of loofahs, but I figured I'd give them a try anyway.

The mesh on them isn't too rough, to the point where it is uncomfortable to wash with; but it's sturdy enough that I feel like I get a good exfoliating wash from them. I've also had loofahs in the past where the body wash or soap doesn't necessarily suds up very well in them; that's not the case with these loofahs. Body wash, as well as regular bar soaps, get very sudsy.

They seem like they're a good quality and will last a while. With the three pack, I was able to use one, gave one to my son, and one to my boyfriend. Everyone has a designated color. Overall, they're a great product for the money you'd spend on them.

I have received these loofahs free, in exchange for my honest opinion.

Eureka! Shower Idea Board

Click here for the Amazon Review

Click here to purchase on Amazon.

If you're like me, you have your doubts about a notepad that you can use in the shower. I saw this and had to try it to believe it.

When I received the the Eureka! Shower idea board, the pencil clip sticky tape was stuck to the bag, and is now a permanent fixture in the bag. I'm sure I can get more double sided tape and fix that in the future, but for now, my pencil is just sitting on top of the board. The suction cups on the board and wash rag keep falling off my shower as well.

The Eureka! Idea board is perfect for this. As soon as we got it, we wrote "hello" on the note pad as an initial test. Here's the dry board with "Hello" written on it.

We took it to the shower, hung it up, sprayed it down with water for a few minutes and got it nice and wet.... Then wrote "Amazon" under it. I was testing the strength of the paper, making sure it was waterproof, and making sure you could still write on the paper and board, even after it was wet. It works perfectly. This is the soaking wet board, with "Amazon" written, after the pad had been sprayed down for about 5 minutes straight.

(We had to move the board because the suction cups kept falling off)

Hours later, I went back to check the durability of the paper and it's still holding up perfectly.

I did receive this item for free in exchange for my honest opinion. But it is a fun little item to posses.

Happy Moon 8' Ergnomic Chef's Knife

Amazon Review

Keeping in mind the price of this Chef's knife, it is a decent knife. It arrives in a nice box with a plastic safety tip on it and it looks very elegant. I couldn't wait to use it.

I washed the knife and started prepping dinner.

I cut some mushrooms and was able to cut them into paper thin slices, like I'm used to.

I Julienned carrots and potatoes and was able to chiffonade some sage and basil easily.

The weight of the knife is nice. It isn't bulky or heavy and is easy to handle. Within minutes of posting pictures on Facebook I started getting messages asking about this knife. I'd recommend it to my closest family and Friends, which means it would be good for you too.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.  At this moment, my mom has stolen my knife and is reviewing it herself.

I have received this product with a 99% discount in exchange for my honest review.

Local Restaurant Review: Big Apple Bagels (AVON)

I've seen this place numerous times and I keep thinking "I need to stop in there." I love bagels.  Why should I not stop in there?  It's on the South side of Rockville Road, if you're heading West.  Near Dan Jones.

Well, Sunday Morning, Ryan and I were driving home from my Company "Winter Festival" and we decided that breakfast sounded good. I  kept naming off brunch places.  "On the Border has Sunday Brunch.... O' Charley's has brunch.... "

Well, Ryan, being a space cadet, totally drives right past on the border because he was in the wrong lane and they didn't appear to be opened, so then as we are approaching O'Charley's he gets into the left hand lane and I'm all like "WTH are you doing?  You just passed up both restaurants that I mentioned." And he's all like "Oh, did I?"...

So we start talking and I said "we could turn around and get Panera.  They have bagels."

Ryan retorts with "Isn't there another bagel shop up the road?"

Me: "Yeah, up here on the left."

With that, we pull in and there is Big Apple Bagels.

Holy Cow this place is packed.  Apparently it is a little gem of a place, that I should have discovered long ago.  I ordered a BLT Bagel sandwich; you get to pick your own type of bagel and you get to pick a cream cheese to put on it.  I went with Cheddar Herb Bagel and onion chive cream cheese... with all that bacon and lettuce (I don't like tomatoes, so I requested it without).

Ryan is boring, he went with a blueberry bagel and regular cream cheese.

They have an extensive breakfast menu (Lox included... which was tempting) as well as a lunch sandwich menu.

It took a few minutes, because the place was crammed with people, but when we got our food, I was pleasantly surprised.  My sandwich was LOADED with bacon.  I will definitely be adding this of my places to sneak into and grab a bagel from.  They had quite the selection of bagels and cream cheeses.  Very much worth looking in to.

Two Thumbs Up!

And a full belly.

Cheetos Mix-ups

I posted a picture of the bag a few days ago, in the mail call.  I had planned on saving them for my son, but they kept staring at me.  They kept talking to me.  They were basically screaming "EAT ME!"

So I obliged.  I devoured the whole bag.  All by myself.  I don't even feel guilty about it.

In the bag there are four flavors:  Jalapeno, flaming hot, cheese, and double cheddar (or something like that).

Of course the cheese and double cheese were tasty.  The jalapeno puffs were definitely jalapeno flavored, but I didn't necesarrily feel the jalapeno kick.  Maybe this isn't a bad thing.  The flaming hot cheetos....  Well, they had a bite, but weren't too bad.  I had honestly never tried flaming hot cheetos.  Had no idea what to expect.  All the flavors mix very well together.  Perhaps too well.

I'd probably buy this again if I saw it in the stores.  There's nothing quite like having orange hands from all that fake cheesy goodness.

Crowdtap Mission: Garnier Micellar Water & SPF 15 Moisturizer Party

New Year, New US!

Thanks to a Garnier Fructis, and a Crowd Tap Mission, Me and my friends (and family) were able to try some Garnier Fructis Micellar Cleansing Water & SPF 15 Moisturizer for FREE!  Below is the results.  I've asked each lady for a quick review of the product, so I can tell you what they thought about it. All opinions are theirs (or mine) and we were not paid for these opinions.

Feautiring Garnier Fructis Micellar Water & SPF 15 Moisturizer

Participants:
Amber (Sister)

Amber says: (Micellar Water) "I really like this, it's a non-oily makeup remover that cut through the toughest mascara.  Skin was sof and clean.  My face is semi-sensitive and I had no dryness or break outs from this cleanser.  I can't wait to use this product long term." (SPF 15 Moisturizer) "I used this during the blistery winter but did notice that I didn't get any face chapping from the wind.  This is a non greasy cream where a little goes a logn way and it made my face feel super soft.  I wore it under my makeup and I felt that my makeup seemed to stay on my face a bit longer."

Kassidy (Sister)

Kassidy says: " I loved this product! It leaves your face feeling clean and soft.  There's no harsh chemical smell or sticky residue.  It also removed my water proof mascara and eyeliner with no problem, where as other products often leave them behind.  I would definitely recommend this others."

Kassidy also gave it two thumbs up!!

Amy T.

Amy T. says: "I like how the cleansing water took off all my makeup without my skin feeling oily and it didn't burn my eyes.  I also like the lotion.  It wasn't greasy and both made my skin feel soft."*

Amy was afraid to try this because she has super sensitive skin.  So far, she's still loving her Garnier Products!

Amy H.

Amy H. says: "I really liked how my face felt after using the cleanser and it as smooth as it felt after using the moisturizer."

 Berta Sue

 Little Jaime

Little Jaime says: "The eye makeup remover was easy to use.  Burn free and I can use LESS of it (which is great since I'm on a college student budget).  And the lotion made my face soft and put together."

College Kid tested & APPROVED!

Stephanie

Stephani says: "The cleanser was wonderfully refreshing to my face and the moisturizer gave my face a freshness that I haven't felt in a while.  Both products were great and I will be using them regularly."

Becky (Mom)

And Of Course Myself, Big Jamie.

What do I think?

I've used SO MANY makeup removers over the years.  My skin HATES makeup removers.  I've been using the Micellar Face cleaner for about 3 weeks now, and I'm in love with this stuff.  It easily removes my makeup, doesn't burn my face, doesn't make me break out, and I don't need a face wash to clean up my face after using the makeup remover.  The micellar water is a two-in-one!  It's perfect.

I never really thought that I needed a moisturizer.  I'm 35 and I think I look GREAT for my age.  But a few weeks ago, I was putting on makeup, getting ready for a party, and I looked at my face in the mirror and though "ew gross, I look like LEATHERFACE!!!!"  Ever since then I've using the SPF 15 Moisturizer regularly, and just over the weekend, when I was getting ready for a cocktail party, I looked in the mirror and though "Damn, My face looks AMAZING today." So, Thank you Garnier Fruictis!

(Not Pictured Yet, Linda, Verna, Becky)

I had a little bit of trouble gathering everyone, due to the weather and icy road conditions.  I have dropped off bottles to a few ladies, and I'm awaiting their images and responses, which I will add later.

I'm also still waiting on a written review from a few of the ladies.

I'd say it's safe to say we will carrying our Micellar Water and SPF 15 Moisturizers in 2017 with us.
