Jack & Pup Shin Bones

Finally, the last Jack & Pup treat that I’m using to win over Ranger & Rosie are these 8” shin bones.

Even though Rosie is by far the Alpha, she prefers the smaller, dainty rib bones, so Ranger gets all three of the shin bones to himself.  They are definitely BIG BONES; I did NOT measure them, but they appear to be right around the 8” mark, as the description states they should be.  They’ve been roasted but have a bit of meat left on them.  -The rib bones disappeared in about 20 minutes with Ranger, but one shin bone kept Ranger busy quite few DAYS!   There are three bones in a pack.

When we gave Ranger his bone, he took off and hid between the couch and chair and sat there silently for a few hours working on his bone.  We took the bone away and put it up for the night and gave it back to him in the morning, before his daddy left for work.  Overall, I’d say that the kids love their new treats… and me.  Rosie spent the evening curled up in my lap as we watched movies.  I’d say…  this is a definite WIN for me! … And the pups.

Jack & Pup Beef Knuckles

This bag of Beef Knuckles come with two knuckles in it.  One of these knuckles is quite large and seems like it is bigger than the heads of the puppies who received these knuckles.  The other knuckle is much smaller and a more manageable size.

The bones are definitely from that of cattle.   They're natural products.  Each have a little bit of meat left on them so the pups aren't left just chewing on bone.  Bone chewing is good for teeth and gums.

I would love to report on how well Ranger & Rosie loved their snacks, but their Daddy says they aren’t allowed to have them until Christmas.  They are Christmas treats for good puppies.  However, seeing that Ranger & Rose have loved all of their Jack & Pup treats so far, I am pretty certain they will love these as well.

Ranger was designated the larger bone and Rosie get the smaller of the two. I will update my blog later with photos, once we see how the kids really do enjoy their knuckles.

Calily Life Tea Tree Foot Soak

I absolutely love this stuff.   It's winter.  My feet are recovering from a summer of sandals and they're currently dry and not attractive at all (which is why you are not seeing them in photos).  -You’re welcome!

The ingredients on this are at a bare minimal, but are definitely on point to get the job done: dead sea minerals, salt, tea tree oil and perfume.  We’ve all know the wonders of the dead sea minerals and sea salt.  Tea tree oil works great for foot fungus.  Together the ingredients make a simple but truly effective foot soak.

To use you simply add three (3) tablespoons of salt into a bowl with warm water, or whatever device you’re using for the foot soak.  The jar is 16 ounces, so you can imagine how many uses you will get out of this.  This works best if you actually put the salt into the basin before you put the water in; so the salts have a chance to dissolve.  Soak your feet for 20 minutes to soften the skin, then you can work on your calluses and/or corns.

Overall, it’s a great product.  A little goes a long way.  The container is rather large, so you’ll get a decent amount of use out of this.  Very pleased with this product.

Jack & Pup 12" Joint Health Beef Jerky

In keeping up with my Theme of making puppies love me, I brought Rosie & Ranger this bag of Joint Health Beef Jerky (and a few others that we will talk about over the next few days).

These jerky treats were created for with Joint health in mind.  I cannot speak about the joint health benefits of these treats. I split one piece of jerky in half and gave both fur babies a piece of it.  I left the bag with their daddy so he can give them treats in my absence.   I'm guessing to have any major impact on actual joint health, these are treats you'd have to give your kids continually, over a period of time, to notice any type of benefits, if you noticed anything at all.

These were actually the FIRST treats I gave the Pups, before the bones.   The product description states that they're odor free.  I would say this is MOSTLY true.  There was a slight "meaty" scent but it wasn't overpowering or rancid.   Ranger & Rosie seriously annihilated their HALF of a jerky treat.  It was gone within seconds... not minutes, but SECONDS.  I blinked and they were gone.    So, I'd venture to say the fur kids enjoyed these treats as much as they enjoyed their rib bones.  This means that so far, we are 2 for 2 with the Jack & Pup treat selections that we've tried.   Perhaps next time we'll give the kids their own stick and they might last a little while longer.

I did receive this bag of treats at a discounted rate.

Jack & Pup Roasted Rib Bones

Full disclosure here, I do NOT own any puppies!  -But... I recently started to date a guy who has the most adorable red & blue heelers.  What better way to win over some puppies than to bring them treats?  So this is exactly what I have done.

Rosie is the red Australian cattle dog.  She runs the roost.  Ranger is the blue boy.  He's pretty stubborn and hard headed and is just like his Daddy!  When I came over, carrying a big box of treats, I was greeted by Ranger and he almost made me drop the box.  I told him he had to go to the Kitchen and sit down like a good boy or he doesn't get any treats.... After all, the packaging clearly states "for Good dogs only!"

The bag of rib bones contains approximately (I definitely DIDN'T count them or measure them) 6 bones that around 7" long.  The bones are all slightly different lengths though and not identical.  You can clearly look at them and see that they have been roasted.  There is a small amount of meat remaining on the bones.

Both Rosie and Ranger sat as patiently as they could until their Daddy gave them treats.  Ranger took off like a mad dog and tore his apart on the couch in a matter of minutes.  Rosie took a more civilized approach and licked her bone clean of all the meat then she slowly started to chew up the actual bone.  She came over to thank me and Ranger made a mad dash to her bone and took off with it and hid in his kennel.  We decided that since he was a bad dog and a thief, he can stay in the crate with Rosie's bone.  So we took Rosie for a car ride since she lost her treat... and she spent the rest of the evening snuggling me on the couch, after our return.  (I'd say I'm winning the puppies over).

Overall, both puppies were super excited about their treats.  Ranger was so excited the next morning, after his potty break, that we caught him trying to climb the shelf to steal more treats.  Both kids were able to eat the bones and the meat on the bones.

I did receive this product at a discounted rate, but their Daddy has already bought them more at the full price.

Active Noise cancelling headphones

I absolutely, positively understand why my son took these from me and hid them in the abyss of his room, so that I can never find them again.  -Even though I see him wearing them DAILY!

I am not one to splurge and spend a lot of money on headphones, even though they do make the world of a difference.  My son does have a pricey pair of “name brand” headphones that he used, until I told him to try these out.

There’s really not much to these, so they’re very “user” friendly.  They come with a hard protective case, a charging cable, and an auxiliary cable to connect the headphones to your device (I use my phone).  Like I previously stated, I got to use these for about 3 days and then my son took off with them.  I’m pretty sure neither of us have charged it since our initial use; but overall, it’s only been about 12 hours of use.  -So the charge lasts AT LEAST that long.

To use the Bluetooth, just press and hold the phone button the right side, for about 3 seconds.  It will flash red & blue.  Find “Bluestone” on your list of pairable Bluetooth devices and it should automatically connect.  The only other buttons are a volume control, which also skips or reverses a song by holding the button for a few seconds.  And then there’s the noise canceling switch, which will glow BLUE when it is on.

The Sound quality is great and the noise canceling is equally as amazing.  I am VERY impressed by these.  I might have to purchase a second pair so both my kid and I have a pair.

Decodyne Jeans Mug

How adorable is this mug?  Tired of your co-workers taking your mug?  This mug looks like a bright red pair of jeans and is full of detail.  You can see the zipper, pockets, stitching, belt loop sand so much more detail in this little mug.  The detail alone is enough to make this mug desirable.  But if you need more than just THAT reasoning, it is sure to stand out and you'll definitely notice if someone else is using your mug!

The cup can hold up to 14 oz of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage.   The handle is a bit thin, but it's easy to grip and there's plenty of room for hands of any size to hold this mug. The mug is microwavable, so if you need to heat up your beverage, you can do so.

Here's the link for this adorable mug: Decodyne Jean Mug.

I did get this product at a discounted rate.

Vintage Portable Turntable

I remember growing up, and having a record player.  It was probably my first true love.  Over the years, music has changed drastically, but there's still the hidden love for vinyl records.

I actually don't own any vinyl, myself, but I have a few friends who still own some.  When I ordered this, I promptly called a few friends and asked to borrow some music.  My friend, Michael, gave me a whole stack and marked a few of them as "MANDO"... meaning I had to listen them before I could listen to anything else.

I had asked my kid if he's ever listened to an old fashioned record and he said "NO"; so I knew I had to get it out immediately and start listening to it.  -Of course, I was trying to go off of memory and didn't bother to read directions.  There are directions included, but they are sub par at best.

The turntable is easy to set up.  There's a turn knob to turn the device on and that also controls the volume.  You can raise or lower the arm with a switched.  There are three speeds.. you'll know if you're listening to it on the wrong speed. There's the disc which you can put on it so that your smaller records fit.  -Before actually placing the needle on the record, make sure you remove the plastic cover off of the needle, so you don't scratch your record.  The device does have a battery and can be wireless after it is charge, or you can leave it plugged in.  The speakers are built right in to the device.

The only real issue I have with this device is that the angle of the lid, when it is open and you're playing a record, where the top and bottom are hinged together, the lid part almost rubs against the bottom of the record as it plays.  There is a serious design flaw here.  I'd be a bit upset scratching someone else's records, let alone my own if I had some.

Nonetheless, My son and I spent the entire weekend listening to records.  We've rearranged the entire house and brought the record player with us from room to room.  In the rooms where outlets were sparse, we used the wireless option.   For the price, you really cannot beat this.

If you want a sample of what the sound quality is like, you can watch a brief clip here on Youtube: Turntable video.

Find the turntable here, on Amazon.

Calily Life Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner Set

This morning I woke up and had to wash my hair before I went to my kid's school to partake in "Muffins with MOM".  I figured I should go ahead and try out the Moroccan Argan oil Shampoo & Conditioner set, since I tried out the Tea Tree a few days ago.

Here are my findings:

I actually found myself PREFERRING the tea tree shampoo & conditioner set over the regular Moroccan Argan oil set.  Don't get me wrong, the Argan oil set isn't bad, but the overall feel of my hair, afterward, was just BETTER with the tea tree oil set.

These are the same size bottles as the tea tree oil set.  They're around 33.8 FL oz  bottles.  They're HUGE.   The pump on my shampoo didn't work.  I had to take lid off and mess with a pump for a bit before I could get it to actually squirt out my shampoo.  The shampoo is clear and doesn't have much of a smell.  -Maybe a slightly nutty citrus scent.   It's very light.

I washed my hair.  It foams nicely and rinses out quickly.  However, my hair almost felt like straw, before I got the conditioner into my hair.

As you can see in the photos, I squirted out way too much conditioner.  The conditioner is a bit thin, but it goes on nicely and rinses out easily.  I wasn't able to brush my hair as easily as I was with the tea tree, but it was still pretty nice.  Once my hair dried, it looked shiny and nice... I just think I'm partial to the other at the moment.  This is still a pretty good shampoo & conditioner set and well worth the money.

I did receive this set at a discounted price.

Calily Life Coconut Lime Bubble Bath

You put the lime in the coconut, and then you take a bath! <---- See what I did there?  You're singing it.  Aren't you?  Don't lie to me.  You know you're singing it.

This is another amazing product from Calily... Seriously.  I am impressed with their products so far.  I cannot count the number of times I have come across bubble bath and was not the least bit impressed by it.  But this stuff....There's a lot to love about it.

1. The bottle is once again HUGE!  33.8 Fl Oz of bubble bath.
2. It smells great.   Even when you pour it into the tub, the bubbles smell like coconut lime.
3. It is soooo extremely sudsy it isn't even funny. I MIGHT have put in a little too much and had the most amazing bath tub filled with bubbles. -This is a concentrated formula, so a little goes a long way; this means your 33.8 FL Oz will last a very long time.
4. The bubbles last a long time.  I was soaking in the tub over half an hour and still had a tub full of bubbles.
5. It doesn't leave a weird residue on your skin or in the bath tub.

If you're interested in finding out for yourself, how great this stuff smells and makes bubbles, check them out on Amazon and purchase a bottle here.

I did get this at a discounted price, BUT, I'm loving it! -Not like McD's because I Don't love that.

Calily Life Organic Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner

I'm gonna be honest here.
A. "Tea Tree" shampoo & conditioner made me EXTREMELY nervous.
B. Sometimes it's difficult to visual exactly how large 33.8 Fl Oz. is...

In my own personal life, I tend to use a lot of essential oils and depending on the company, Tea Tree oil isn't always exactly a pleasant smell.  It can be extremely strong and medicated smelling.  -Almost like Dog Shampoo.

That is definitely NOT the case with this shampoo.  The smell is much lighter than I expected and almost has a lemon or slight citrus scent.  It is not overpowering and does not make you smell like you just washed your head with your dog's medicated flea dip.

Now let's talk about the size.  These bottles are HUGE and Glorious.  For the price, I would not be upset at all... had I paid the full price.  It's $20(ish) for a HUGE bottle of Shampoo & Conditioner.  I mean... think about a regular bottle of Soda.  They're usually around 12 Fl Oz...  These are 30-33 Fl Oz.  So it's more than double a bottle of soda.

The shampoo is clear when it comes out.  It foams up great in your hair and rinses out easily.

The conditioner seemed a bit thin and runny to me, but it honestly left m hair feeling AMAZING.  I sat around with a towel on my head for quite a while and hours later went to brush my hair.  No tangles.  -For me, this is a make or break with any shampoo & conditioner.   A little bit of conditioner went a long way.  It was thin but worked wonders on my hair.  When I woke up and brushed my hair again, my hair was silky, shiny and smooth.  I am definitely IMPRESSED.  Granted this stuff will last me a while, but I might have to get more when I'm starting to get low.  I love it.

Find yours on Amazon, here.

I did receive this shampoo & conditioner at a discounted rate, but this is honestly how I feel about it.

O-wOw Dual Wand Massager

I recently got the chance to review to Dual wand massager from O-Wow.  And all I can really say about it is... O, WOW.

When you look at the wand, it is curved and easy to hold.  It is 9.5" long (I never found a ruler to actually measure, but this is what the Amazon listing states). On the top half of the massager, there are two power buttons.  Hold the top power button down for a few seconds and it will come.  Every time you hit the power button, it will switch through 10 pulse/vibration/massage settings and after the 10th setting it will turn off.  The top button controls the round, tip end of the massager.  The second, bottom, power button is controlled the same as the top power button.  This button controls the actual wand portion of the massager.  Between the two vibrating portions, you can scroll through and find the settings that fit your needs best.  -One thing I DO NOT LIKE is that if you miss the setting you like you have to either turn it off and scroll back through the settings, or keep scrolling through until you find it again.  There is NO BACK BUTTON on the settings.

To charge the wand, flip it over.  On the bottom half there is a small dot, labeled "DC".  That's where the charger goes.  It takes about 1.5 hours for the device to fully charge.  While charging, a light comes on.  Once it is fully charged, the light goes off.  With the settings I enjoy the most, the wand lasts about 2.5 hours.  It can last up to 3 hours depending on the settings you like.

This device IS waterproof.  You can use it in the shower.  You should NOT submerge this under water.  I'd give this about 3.5 stars out of 5.  It's a nice toy, but it could use some function upgrades.
