Who is the in market for some warm winter gloves? I know both me and my son needed gloves terribly bad when I ran across these. I ordered them and it literally started snowing (about 6") the day after they arrived. They were almost heaven sent.
These gloves ARE a bit big and bulky, but they are very warm and toasty! The shell of the glove is polyester and they have a waterproof insert. There are multiple layers within the glove. The most internal lining is made of fleece, which is excellent in the cold weather. The outer rib of the glove is acrylic.
We did play with these gloves outside and they are very waterproof. Not once did the inside feel wet or damp.
There are a variety of colors and even sizes. My son is 10 but he's growing like a weed. We went with the XL glove and they are quite large on both he and I, but I figured he could use these for a few years to come.

Jack & Pup Shin Bones
Finally,
the last Jack & Pup treat that I’m using to win over Ranger & Rosie are
these 8” shin bones.
Even
though Rosie is by far the Alpha, she prefers the smaller, dainty rib bones, so
Ranger gets all three of the shin bones to himself. They are definitely BIG BONES; I did NOT
measure them, but they appear to be right around the 8” mark, as the
description states they should be. They’ve
been roasted but have a bit of meat left on them. -The rib bones disappeared in about 20 minutes
with Ranger, but one shin bone kept Ranger busy quite few DAYS! There are three bones in a pack.
When
we gave Ranger his bone, he took off and hid between the couch and chair and
sat there silently for a few hours working on his bone. We took the bone away and put it up for the
night and gave it back to him in the morning, before his daddy left for
work. Overall, I’d say that the kids
love their new treats… and me. Rosie
spent the evening curled up in my lap as we watched movies. I’d say…
this is a definite WIN for me! … And the pups.
Jack & Pup Beef Knuckles
This bag of Beef
Knuckles come with two knuckles in it. One of these knuckles is quite
large and seems like it is bigger than the heads of the puppies who received
these knuckles. The other knuckle is much smaller and a more manageable
size.
The bones are definitely
from that of cattle. They're natural products. Each have a
little bit of meat left on them so the pups aren't left just chewing on
bone. Bone chewing is good for teeth and gums.
I would love to report on how well Ranger & Rosie loved
their snacks, but their Daddy says they aren’t allowed to have them until
Christmas. They are Christmas treats for
good puppies. However, seeing that
Ranger & Rose have loved all of their Jack & Pup treats so far, I am
pretty certain they will love these as well.
Ranger was designated the larger bone and Rosie get the
smaller of the two. I will update my blog later with photos, once we see how
the kids really do enjoy their knuckles.
Calily Life Eucalyptus Bath Salts
It’s that time of year where everyone’s congested and
sick. I know when I’m feeling under the
weather, I usually reach for my essential oils, Epsom salts and a nice warm
soak. With this bottle of Eucalyptus
bath salts, I don’t have to do to the work.
I just unscrew the cap and pour the bath salts into the running water.
The ingredient list on this is very simple, yet effective:
salt, dead sea minerals, Eucalyptus oil, and fragrance. I don’t find the eucalyptus scent over powering
in this. To me, I could stand a bit more
of the eucalyptus smell for some decongesting properties.
This bottle is rather large and contains about 32 ounces of
bath salts. However, the directions
state to use about a fourth of a bottle, per soak. -You’re supposed to use around 8 ounces. I used about 4 ounces, because I just wanted
to try it out.
For the best results, follow the instructions on the
label. 8 ounces of bath salts and a 20-minute
soak. The Eucalyptus not only can have
decongesting properties, but it will also work to relieve muscle stiffness and
leave your body feeling relaxed.
I love the scent.
After my bath, I was relaxed and ready to lounge around do a whole lot
of nothing. It was nice to be able to
treat myself to a spa-like experience in the comfort of my own home.
**The Scoop is not included. It is mine.
Hoont Indoor Powerful Plug-in Spider and Bed Bug Pest Repeller + Night Light
I’ve tried NUMEROUS of these types of devices before, but I
can guarantee none of them work as well as this one does. It’s winter.
All of the bugs are trying to come inside. I have spiders, stink bugs and ants that keep
trying to make my house their very own. Last
week I had a swarm of ants coming in from the garage and hiking through the
house, into my back room and finding the cat food. I am constantly finding stink bugs hanging
out in my light fixtures. It gets
annoying.
This thing arrived Sunday afternoon. It is now Thursday. Tuesday night I noticed
the trail of ants had dissipated. Last
night, Wednesday, I realized I hadn’t seen a stink bug in a few days and now
the trail of ants has completely disappeared…. And when I started to think even
more about it, I noticed that I hadn’t seen my pet spider in the corner
either.
I have this plugged in near my garage door, where the ants
were coming in. It does have a light
that stays on while it is plugged in and to be honest, it is rather ugly and
almost reminds me of a cockroach… but this thing works. You cannot hear the ultrasonic sound it
emits. -I have had some from other sellers where the high pitch sound was
actually quite audible (I returned those).
I am impressed and plan on buying more after the holidays.
Calily Life Tea Tree Foot Soak
I absolutely love this stuff. It's winter.
My feet are recovering from a summer of sandals and they're currently
dry and not attractive at all (which is why you are not seeing them in
photos). -You’re welcome!
The ingredients on this are at a bare minimal, but are
definitely on point to get the job done: dead sea minerals, salt, tea tree oil
and perfume. We’ve all know the wonders
of the dead sea minerals and sea salt.
Tea tree oil works great for foot fungus. Together the ingredients make a simple but
truly effective foot soak.
To use you simply add three (3) tablespoons of salt into a bowl
with warm water, or whatever device you’re using for the foot soak. The jar is 16 ounces, so you can imagine how
many uses you will get out of this. This
works best if you actually put the salt into the basin before you put the water
in; so the salts have a chance to dissolve.
Soak your feet for 20 minutes to soften the skin, then you can work on
your calluses and/or corns.
Overall, it’s a great product. A little goes a long way. The container is rather large, so you’ll get
a decent amount of use out of this. Very
pleased with this product.

Jack & Pup 12" Joint Health Beef Jerky
In keeping up with my Theme of making puppies love me, I brought Rosie & Ranger this bag of Joint Health Beef Jerky (and a few others that we will talk about over the next few days).
These jerky treats were created for with Joint health in mind. I cannot speak about the joint health benefits of these treats. I split one piece of jerky in half and gave both fur babies a piece of it. I left the bag with their daddy so he can give them treats in my absence. I'm guessing to have any major impact on actual joint health, these are treats you'd have to give your kids continually, over a period of time, to notice any type of benefits, if you noticed anything at all.
These were actually the FIRST treats I gave the Pups, before the bones. The product description states that they're odor free. I would say this is MOSTLY true. There was a slight "meaty" scent but it wasn't overpowering or rancid. Ranger & Rosie seriously annihilated their HALF of a jerky treat. It was gone within seconds... not minutes, but SECONDS. I blinked and they were gone. So, I'd venture to say the fur kids enjoyed these treats as much as they enjoyed their rib bones. This means that so far, we are 2 for 2 with the Jack & Pup treat selections that we've tried. Perhaps next time we'll give the kids their own stick and they might last a little while longer.
I did receive this bag of treats at a discounted rate.
Jack & Pup Roasted Rib Bones
Full disclosure here, I do NOT own any puppies! -But... I recently started to date a guy who has the most adorable red & blue heelers. What better way to win over some puppies than to bring them treats? So this is exactly what I have done.
Rosie is the red Australian cattle dog. She runs the roost. Ranger is the blue boy. He's pretty stubborn and hard headed and is just like his Daddy! When I came over, carrying a big box of treats, I was greeted by Ranger and he almost made me drop the box. I told him he had to go to the Kitchen and sit down like a good boy or he doesn't get any treats.... After all, the packaging clearly states "for Good dogs only!"
The bag of rib bones contains approximately (I definitely DIDN'T count them or measure them) 6 bones that around 7" long. The bones are all slightly different lengths though and not identical. You can clearly look at them and see that they have been roasted. There is a small amount of meat remaining on the bones.
Both Rosie and Ranger sat as patiently as they could until their Daddy gave them treats. Ranger took off like a mad dog and tore his apart on the couch in a matter of minutes. Rosie took a more civilized approach and licked her bone clean of all the meat then she slowly started to chew up the actual bone. She came over to thank me and Ranger made a mad dash to her bone and took off with it and hid in his kennel. We decided that since he was a bad dog and a thief, he can stay in the crate with Rosie's bone. So we took Rosie for a car ride since she lost her treat... and she spent the rest of the evening snuggling me on the couch, after our return. (I'd say I'm winning the puppies over).
Overall, both puppies were super excited about their treats. Ranger was so excited the next morning, after his potty break, that we caught him trying to climb the shelf to steal more treats. Both kids were able to eat the bones and the meat on the bones.
I did receive this product at a discounted rate, but their Daddy has already bought them more at the full price.

Calily LIfe Organic Bubble Bath with Lavender & Chamomile
I am seriously loving these Calily Life Bubble Baths. This bottle
is mean for a relaxing soak. Much like the other bottles, this bottle is a huge
33.8 Fl oz. I am not a super huge fan on lavender; I feel like it can be
over powering. Mixed with the chamomile, this is a very pleasant and not
overly floral scent.
Much like the other scents,
this is highly concentrated and a little bit goes a very long way. I
just poured a little bit into the tub and ran my water and within minutes I had
a tub that was overflowing with bubbles.
The bubbles carry the lavender chamomile scent.
I sat in the tub over 20 minutes and the bubbles lasted as long as
the bath did. I wasn’t left with a funny
residue on my skin or in the tub after I let the water out. I am very pleased with the quality of this
bubble bath.
The large bottle and high concentration formula is sure to last a
long time. This is well worth the money
you will spend on it.

Wine Chiller, Aerator, Pourer by Everest Essentials
Wine chill sticks are a perfect solution for keeping wine chilled. I wasn't sure the best way to go about this, so I tried it two different ways: With an un-chilled wine and with a pre-chilled wine.
First, you have to assemble the product, by screwing the child rod into the pourer. I placed mine in the freezer in the morning before work, assembled. It only takes 30 minutes to chill, but I knew if I waited I'd forget.
First we tried it with the un-chilled bottle of wine. -Before placing the stick into the bottle, remember to pour out a little bit of wine, so that the chill stick does not make you spill out wine with the displacement of the liquid. Push the stick all the way down so that it forms a nice seal. Let it sit a few minutes to give the wine a chill, and then pour into your glasses. It aerates the wine as it pours. -Using the un-chilled wine, I'd say the wine gets luke warm, at best. I didn't really notice much of a chill.
So we placed the stick back into the freezer and then tried it with a pre-chilled bottle of wine. -Using the pre-chilled wine was way better. The entire bottle stays chilled the whole time. It can sit on the table with you as you sip and talk with friends and family and you don't have to worry about it getting warm on you.
If you need a gift for the wine lover in your life, you can find your wine chiller stick here on Amazon.

Collapsible Folding Insulated Cooler
It's not often that I actually rave about things; but THIS cooler. WOW! I know when I think of "collapsible" coolers, I think of the cheap, barely insulated coolers that leak all over the place whenever you put ice in them. Sure, they fold up and can be stored away, but they really just aren't worth it.
This cooler is much different than the normal collapsible, folding coolers. When it arrives, it is already collapsed; the top and bottom of the cooler are a firm type of EVA foam material. When you unzip it and expand it, it has blue pinstripe fabric and cloth handles. When you fully expand the cooler, it measures 17” x 11.8” x 13.4”. It closes down to 17" x 11.8" x 3.5". -It's a serious space saver. *Also note that when you expand it, make sure you undo the zipper all the way. I couldn't figure out why mine wasn't opening up and it was because I didn't unlatch the zipper.
When it's fully unfolded, you can fit a LOT of stuff in this bad boy. I was dragging supplies to a friend's house to cook him dinner. I had: 4 ice packs, a pound of chicken breast, andouille sausage, a large container of chicken broth, 2 cans of beans, onions, peppers, garlic, a can of Rotel chilis, 6 beers, 2 Dr. Peppers, sour cream, cheese, milk and a few other products and there was still a LOT of room. All of the food stayed cold, and the next morning when I went to get my Dr. Pepper, they were still pretty chilled as well. There are four folding flaps at the top, so once your cooler is packed, you lie the flaps down over the products in the cooler, then zip it shut. There is an adjustable shoulder strap and two handles, for ease of carrying.
I can't say if this will keep your stuff cold for 24 hours, but it claims to be able to not melt ice for up to 24 hours. From my personal experience, you can get AT LEAST 15 hours out of it.

Active Noise cancelling headphones
I absolutely, positively understand why my son took these
from me and hid them in the abyss of his room, so that I can never find them
again. -Even though I see him wearing
them DAILY!
I am not one to splurge and spend a lot of money on
headphones, even though they do make the world of a difference. My son does have a pricey pair of “name brand”
headphones that he used, until I told him to try these out.
There’s really not much to these, so they’re very “user”
friendly. They come with a hard
protective case, a charging cable, and an auxiliary cable to connect the
headphones to your device (I use my phone).
Like I previously stated, I got to use these for about 3 days and then
my son took off with them. I’m pretty
sure neither of us have charged it since our initial use; but overall, it’s only
been about 12 hours of use. -So the
charge lasts AT LEAST that long.
To use the Bluetooth, just press and hold the phone button
the right side, for about 3 seconds. It will
flash red & blue. Find “Bluestone”
on your list of pairable Bluetooth devices and it should automatically
connect. The only other buttons are a
volume control, which also skips or reverses a song by holding the button for a
few seconds. And then there’s the noise
canceling switch, which will glow BLUE when it is on.
The Sound quality is great and the noise canceling is
equally as amazing. I am VERY impressed
by these. I might have to purchase a
second pair so both my kid and I have a pair.
Find them on Amazon here: Noise Cancelling Headphones
